It was a privilege for Chapel Down to sponsor a once-in-a-lifetime journey aboard the British Pullman, hosted by the Lady Mayor of London.
Part of the fundraising efforts of the Lord Mayor’s Appeal, this special journey saw guests welcomed with award-winning Chapel Down English Sparkling wine alongside a canape reception before being led in procession by The Company of Pikemen & Musketeers to Cannon Street station, where for the first time the prestigious British Pullman train was stationed for departure.
Travelling from London to Kent aboard the historic train, guests enjoyed a five-course tasting menu paired with Chapel Down sparkling and still wines whilst taking in the Kent countryside from the ornate art deco carriages.
It was an honour for Chapel Down to support this unique journey for such a wonderful cause. We are proud to be supporting The Lady Mayor with all of her fundraising efforts this year, which make a profound difference and lasting impact across the Square Mile and beyond.
