Our winery estate is open to the public. Book a guided tour or simply drop by and take a self-guided walking tour of our vineyard; enjoy a wine flight at our tasting bar or share a bottle under our stretch tent outside. Whatever you decide, we look forward to welcoming you soon.

Enjoy a guided tour of our vineyards and winery, where you can learn about the journey from vine to wine. We offer a range of tours and experiences, all including a tutored tasting of our award-winning sparkling and still wines.

Our Winery Shop is the only place in the UK that showcases our full range of still and sparkling wines, all of which are available to sample from our tasting bar. If you are planning a larger event, such as a wedding, one of our knowledgeable staff will be happy to help.

Our shop is open every day from 10am – 5pm

The Swan is a 2AA Rosette restaurant where you can enjoy Chapel Down’s award-winning wines and the finest locally and regionally-sourced produce, cooked to perfection, in an elegant yet relaxed environment.

The 80-cover restaurant boasts a private dining Chef’s Table and outdoor terrace with spectacular views across the county. Visit The Swan website for the latest menus, opening hours and events. Please note The Swan is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Looking for somewhere to stay and explore Kent, The Garden of England? Whilst we currently don't offer onsite accommodation, we are delighted to partner with The Print House in Tenterden, Sissinghurst Castle Farmhouse near Cranbrook and Chilston Park in Lenham in Kent.

Chapel Down is located in the beautiful Kent countryside, close to the picturesque market town of Tenterden, and only an hour away from London. We are open to visitors throughout the year and look forward to welcoming you to our home.



ACCESSIBILITY

There is one main entrance to the site with 3 designated disabled parking bays closest to the cellar door shop entrance. All areas on site, apart from the Swan Restaurant,  are level and suitable for wheelchair and mobility scooters. 

We have a manual wheelchair available to guests at no extra charge . This is on a first come, first serve basis and can be reserved at retail@chapledown.com or call 01580766111.

All vineyard and winery tours (excluding the vineyard walking tour) are accessible to wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

Please note The Swan Restaurant can only be accessed up a flight of 36 stairs with no lift available. Please consider this when booking tours with lunch/dinner included.

Mobility scooters are permitted on site and on tours. Please call in advance on 01580766111, so we can arrange the tasting areas accordingly.

There are two accessible toilets on site. The main accessible toilet is situated to the rear of the cellar door shop and  changing facilities are also situated here . There is another accessible toilet in our main tasting room, The Wine Sanctuary, in the vineyard for guest during tours.

We’re happy to welcome assistance dogs to the vineyard and on tours . Please keep your dog on a lead unless doing so would interfere with your disability or your dog’s trained behaviours. In such cases, your dog must remain under your control at all times. There are multiple grassed areas but we kindly ask all dog owners to be responsible for removing any mess. Again please give us advanced warning if going on tour on 01580766111.

We have several members of staff who are trained in first aid, although they are only equipped to treat minor injuries. Please ask a member of staff to direct you to the nearest first aider.

Ashford International Station and Headcorn Station are both accessible for disabled travellers - please contact the train stations for more information.

Chapel Down is nestled in the village of Small Hythe, just outside the stunning market town of Tenterden in Kent. Our facilities are best accessed by car or, if arriving via public transport, within easy reach via taxi. For more information on how to find us, please visit the Contact Us page.
