We are thrilled to share that our Chapel Down Kit’s Coty Blanc de Blancs 2019 and Chapel Down Kit’s Coty Coeur de Cuvee 2016 have been awarded GOLD medals in the International Wine Challenge.
Kit’s Coty Blanc de Blancs 2019 was praised by judges for its, “pure lemon sorbet, peach and mild strawberry aroma. Fresh sourdough, integrated palate with very fine bubbles with crescendo finish.”
And of Kit’s Coty Coeur de Cuvee 2016, judges commended its “Beautiful baked apple and gentle spice on the nose, elegant palate, harmoniously integrated lemon, floral palate, long finish. A complete sparkling wine”.
The International Wine Challenge is an acclaimed competition bringing together some of the world's finest wines in a 'blind' tasting format, with no pricing or producer information given to judges.
It’s an honour for our wines to be given such high praise by this prestigious competition, and testament to the craft and passion of our winemaking team - led by Head Winemaker Josh Donaghay-Spire.
