Our Famous Easter Cork Hunt Returns

Our Famous Easter Cork Hunt Returns

13 January 2026

Spring is in the air, the vines are waking up and one of our most-loved traditions is back. From 3rd–6th April, we’re inviting families, friends and wine lovers alike to join us at Chapel Down Winery for our Famous Easter Cork Hunt — a joyful, family-friendly event that’s completely free to attend.

Wander through our vineyard this Easter weekend and take part in the hunt for hidden corks, tucked away among the rows of vines. Children can look forward to chocolate eggs, while adults are rewarded with a glass of award-winning Chapel Down wine — a fresher way to celebrate the season together.

Keep your eyes peeled for something extra special: five golden corks will be hidden and finding one wins you a tour and tasting for two at our winery!

This event allows one cork per person and no booking is required, making it easy to join in whenever you arrive!

After the hunt, settle in at our Cellar Door, where you can enjoy wine flights and seasonal treats, perfect for enjoying on the lawn and soaking up the Easter atmosphere. Whether you’re visiting with little ones, meeting friends, or simply enjoying a countryside stroll, the Easter Cork Hunt is a celebration of togetherness, discovery and great English wine.

Join us this Easter weekend to sip, hunt and celebrate at Chapel Down Winery!

Travel Arrangements: Transport links to Chapel Down are straightforward, but booking ahead makes things easier on the day. If you are travelling by train, the nearest stations are Headcorn and Ashford, both of which are a short taxi ride from the estate. Local taxi services can be limited, so we recommend arranging both legs of your journey in advance.

If you plan to drive, free parking is available on site. Cars can be left overnight in our secure car park if needed, though we do not allow overnight stays in campervans or motorhomes. We will look forward to welcoming you!
