Tasting Notes: Kit's Coty Sparkling Wines

We are delighted to announce the launch of our Kit’s Coty 2017 Blanc de Blancs and 2016 Coeur de Cuvée sparkling wines in our new branding.

To celebrate the occasion, we asked our Head Winemaker, Josh Donaghay-Spire, to share his personal tasting notes of both wines, which we filmed at our Kit’s Coty vineyard on the North Downs of Kent.

Our Kit’s Coty Blanc de Blancs is made using only the finest Chardonnay grapes from our Kit's Coty vineyard, where the chalk soil and cool maritime is perfect for sparkling wine. The fruit is handpicked and pressed before extended ageing in bottle. This exceptional wine is elegant and well balanced with notes of fresh apple and buttery pastry.

Our Kit’s Coty Coeur de Cuvée is made using the ‘heart of the first pressing’ of Chardonnay grapes to extract the finest juice. We then mature in French oak to create this exceptionally rich and elegant sparkling wine. This outstanding wine won the overall trophy for ‘Best Prestige Cuvée’ at the recent Wine GB Awards and was awarded Gold medals at each of the major wine competitions this year – Decanter, IWC and Wine GB.
