Tours are non-refundable but are transferable. To reschedule your booking, simply call us on 01580 766111 and one of our team will be happy to assist you.

At certain points in the year the winery will be inaccessible on the tour due to harvest/production taking place on site.

If you are traveling by car, we offer free parking in our large on-site car park. For those using public transport, we are a 20-minute taxi ride from Headcorn train station and 35 minutes from Ashford International train station.

Please note that there is no Uber service in the area and no taxi rank at Headcorn station. We would highly recommend booking a taxi in advance of your visit.

We do not have a charging point at Chapel Down, but a Pod Point charger is available just 2 miles from the vineyard.

The Tour

Begin with a short walk through our Tenterden vineyard, where you’ll learn about the vine life-cycle and the influence of our unique maritime climate. You’ll then learn where our wines are made and discover the intricacies of traditional-method sparkling winemaking.
The Tasting

Enjoy a tutored tasting of five of our signature wines led by your guide. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into how our vineyards, climate and winemaking techniques shape the character and flavour of each glass. After the tasting, you’re welcome to relax and explore our herb garden, or continue the experience with a glass or two at our Cellar Door bar.

Vineyard tours are designed for adults, but children 7+ may accompany parents if supervised. Please note tastings are only available to guests over 18.
For our Standard Guided Tour at Chapel Down a concession is a someone over 60 or a student.
Our Cellar Door shop, winery, and many areas of the vineyard are accessible. However, the Swan restaurant is only accessible via stairs on the side of the building. Please let us know of any accessibility requirements when booking.
Most vineyard tours last around 120 minutes. Extended experiences, such as wine masterclasses or dining packages, may last longer.
