Raise a Glass: Celebrating English Wine Week 2025 with Chapel Down

06 June 2025

Each year, English Wine Week offers a moment to pause, pour, and take pride in one of the UK’s most exciting homegrown success stories. Running from June 21st to June 29th 2025, it’s a nationwide celebration of the people, places and producers shaping the future of English wine.

At Chapel Down, we’ve long believed that world-class wine can come from English soil. And as one of the country’s leading wineries, we’re proud to play our part in putting English wine on the global map. Whether you’re already a firm fan or just starting to explore, English Wine Week 2025 is the perfect time to discover more about what makes our wines - and our region - so special.

Why Celebrate English Wine?

Over the past decade, English wine has undergone a quiet revolution. Once a niche curiosity, it’s now recognised internationally for its quality, character and craftsmanship. From crisp white wines to elegant traditional method sparkling wines, producers across the country are earning their place on the world stage - and Tenterden, Kent is right at the heart of it.

At Chapel Down, we’ve been championing English winemaking for over 20 years. Our vineyards in the chalk-rich soils of the North Downs and cool, maritime climate are ideal for growing classic grape varieties used in Traditional Method sparkling wine. The result? Wines that are fresh, balanced, and distinctly English.

A Time to Celebrate Local Excellence

English Wine Week is about more than just raising awareness—it’s about celebrating quality, craftsmanship and the joy of enjoying something made close to home. It’s also a chance to support local producers, whether you’re dining out, visiting a cellar door, or simply choosing English wine when browsing the shelves.

At Chapel Down, we’re proud to be part of a thriving, growing industry that continues to innovate and inspire. This English Wine Week, we invite you to raise a glass with us—to the land, the craft, and the future of English wine.
