Product Description

A delicate rosé which epitomises English summer with its prominent notes of strawberries and cream. This Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier dominated blend features an abundance of strawberry, raspberry and citrus aromas coupled with crisp acidity and a long refreshing finish.

Grape Variety

Fruit is whole-bunch pressed with the majority of colour coming from the Early Pinot Noir, Rondo, and Regent rather than from skin maceration. This gives a light, smooth characteristic to the wine. Cool fermentation and early clarification also help with the light, effortless style.

ENGLISH ROSE 2023

VINEYARD

To ensure consistent top quality fruit for this wine, we source from a collection of vineyards in Kent, Sussex and Essex. Grapes are grown predominantly on single and double guyot pruning systems, on varied soils including, chalk, clay and loam soils to best benefit the grape varietals grown.

WINEMAKING

Using the best quality fraction of juice normally reserved solely for sparkling wine production, this gently handled, single varietal rosé has been produced to be low in tannins. Our finest Pinot Noir grapes were hand selected at the exceptional 2023 harvest and whole bunched pressed, before being subject to cool fermentation in stainless steel to preserve the purity and lightness of the wines flavours.
