Product Information:

From our exquisite Kit's Coty collection, our Coeur de Cuvée 2016 is our finest expression of sparkling 100% Chardonnay. Sourced from our 100-acre Kit's Coty vineyard on the North Downs of Kent, the wine is made from the very best parcels of hand-harvested fruit.

Our Kit’s Coty Coeur de Cuvée is made using the ‘heart of the first pressing’ of Chardonnay grapes to extract the finest juice. We then mature in French oak to create this exceptionally rich and elegant sparkling wine.

A rich yet elegant sparkling wine with aromas of apple and shortbread. The palate has incredible purity coming from the chalk soils and finesse which carries the well-integrated oak and fruit characters perfectly.

Ideal as an aperitif or enjoy with shellfish.

Kit’s Coty Coeur de Cuvée 2016 Awards

  • Vineyard

Kit's Coty is a 100 acre vineyard on the North Downs of Kent. Its southerly aspect ensures the vines capture the sunlight all season long, while the warm, free draining chalk soils provide the perfect terroir for producing well balanced, intensely flavoured fruit that truly express their identify and the unique soil qualities.

  • Winemaking

Chapel Down Kit’s Coty Coeur de Cuvée is made from the ‘heart of the first pressing’, the finest quality portion of juice extracted exclusively from the first press cycle. This then undergoes wild fermentation and maturation in French oak before extended ageing in bottle for up to 5 years. We then age the wine for another 2 years to build tertiary flavours in our cellar before release.

The Wine Review - 2025

"Smoky, spicy and burnished. Sour cherries and quince. A tingle of lemon peel sherbet. This is really rather special. The acidity is tucked into satin bubbles and wonderful texture. Yuzu pithy. Great balance. Long and very good."

Janice Robinson (Wine Critic) - 2022
