Product Information:

Our winemaking team are continually experimenting with different varieties and styles, releasing limited parcels under the ‘Discovery Series’ label. This collection of vibrant English wines celebrates the art of English winemaking.

This unique Chardonnay is made from a highly aromatic clone as part of our continuing exploration of what the variety can achieve in our cool maritime climate.

Classic Chardonnay aromas of apple and melon are complemented by delicate notes of rose and lychee. The palate is smooth and well balanced with a crisp and fresh finish.

A perfect pairing with oily fish such as salmon or mackerel.

  • Vineyard

One of the classic grape varieties for still and sparkling wine production, either on its own, or blended with other varieties. For this reason, it should come as no surprise that in the UK, where sparkling wine dominates production, Chardonnay is the most widely planted grape variety.

An elegant, unoaked wine, our new Discovery Series Chardonnay 2022 is made from a unique, highly aromatic vine grown exclusively on one of our North Downs vineyards.

  • Winemaking

Chardonnay can be lean and mineral, zesty and vibrant, creamy and buttery, toasted with whispers of vanilla, aromatic and floral, or some combination of the above. So saying you don’t like Chardonnay is like saying you don’t like white wine. You just need to find your style.
